Retail Manager - Bay of Plenty

Permanent, Full Time Position Available (Flexible hours 20-30hours p/w)

The Retail Manager is responsible for the efficient and successful operation of Little Trooper’s two Bay of Plenty retail outlets. The role encompasses both retail operations; the overall look, feel and customer service facing side of Little Trooper, and inventory management; the smooth processing and movement of stock between locations.

This unique role is suited to someone who is process-driven, organised and efficient - a strong and clear communicator highly skilled in organisation and time management. Importantly, it will suit someone with boundless energy and enthusiasm - someone who loves people and loves ticking things off!

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is maintained at all times
  • Management of the wider sales team and individual workloads
  • Directing in store merchandising and maintaining exceptional standards of presentation
  • Inventory Management; ensuring the prompt and accurate processing of incoming stock, the physical movement of stock between locations and management of fluctuating stock levels across stores.


You will have the following skills:

  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated passion for outstanding customer service
  • Exceptional communication and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and with flexibility to lead a small team

The following experience would be an advantage:

  • 3+ years of customer service (preferably in boutique retail)
  • 2+ years experience leading a customer service team
  • Experience working with integrated POS systems, inventory management systems or online retail stores

Please note this is a permanent full time position that will at times involve tight deadlines, particularly during new season. The roles requires flexibility. The successful candidate will be required to work one weekend day each week, and on occasion public holidays.

Retail Assistant - Bay of Plenty

Permanent, Part Time Position Available (Flexible hours 20-30hours p/w)

We’re on the hunt for an energetic team player to fill a busy and varied role as Retail Assistant in our Bay of Plenty stores! If you have a strong background in retail and a passion for all things kids we want to hear from you.

The Retail Assistant is responsible for assisting with the overall look, feel and customer facing side of Little Trooper. He/she is responsible for the maintenance of high store standards and exceptional customer service at all times. This includes assisting with the maintenance of stock levels, upholding a high standard of store cleanliness, and at all times prioritising the experience of the customer.

The role includes: 

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
  • Maintaining strict standards of stock management, including processing of incoming and outgoing stock
  • Maintenance of store aesthetic including merchandising

We’re looking for people with:

  • Demonstrated experience in boutique retail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A proven ability to multi task
  • Ability to work cooperatively and with flexibility as part of a small team

This is a permanent part time position; from 12-24 hours p/w. The role does require one weekend day each week. Please note successful candidates will be required to work one weekend day p/w.

He/she is responsible for the maintenance of high store standards and exceptional customer service at all times. This includes assisting with the maintenance of stock levels, upholding a high standard of store cleanliness, and at all times prioritising the experience of the customer.

The role includes: 

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
  • Maintaining strict standards of stock management, including processing of incoming and outgoing stock
  • Maintenance of store aesthetic including merchandising
  • Dispatch of online orders as required

We’re looking for people with:

  • Demonstrated experience in boutique retail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A proven ability to multi task
  • Ability to work cooperatively and with flexibility as part of a small team
